Glossier Balm Dotcom Review

image

“A hydrating, long-lasting, do-everything skin salve that’s packed with antioxidants and natural emollients to nourish and repair dry, irritated skin. The dense, waxy texture stays in place to seal in moisture wherever it goes. So good you’ll want one for your bag, one for your other bag, and one for your medicine cabinet.”

Brand claims: “Hypoallergenic, dermatologist tested, long-lasting moisture, 100% natural, paraben free, fragrance free, not tested on animals” Soothing, Moisturizing, Conditioning.
I really like this product. It’s basically petroleum based balm but it has some extra beneficial ingredients. It has:
  • Castor Seed Oil: contains water-binding properties to help moisturize
  • Cupuacu Fruit Extract: an organic ingredient that contains fatty acids (Omega 9 & 6) leaving a prolonged moisturizing effect
  • Rice Bran & Rosemary Leaf Extracts: antioxidants that help with free-radical damage
I’ve been using this at night on my lips to help keep them nice and moisturized. When I wake up I still have some on. I can go straight into doing my makeup without putting on a lip balm. It is a thick waxy balm so I personally wouldn’t use it anywhere else. I think if you lived somewhere with harsh weather this would be perfect. The product is thick enough to keep your lips from getting heat / wind burn while having a moisturizing property! It’s definitely more than just petroleum jelly.
