Golden Age: A warm, burnished gold with a smoky undertone.
First I’m obsessed with the color! The shade is a gorgeous brown and gold. When you use a brush you can get a light wash of color and with your finger a deep intense color. I love using this for a simple smokey eye. I will use my finger to apply the color on my lid then blend it with a synthetic brush into the crease / under eye. I’ve worn this so many times *click for a photo*, I will add a champagne color on the center of my lid for a halo look too.
When I use it without a primer it creases fairly fast. I do have hooded / oily lids though. With a primer it doesn’t crease as fast. So I love wearing it with a primer. This is an amazing product. I use it alone and as a base for gorgeous looks. I think this product has made me want to invest in more cream shadows.
Texture wise they describe it as a “a rich texture between powder and cream”. I would agree with that. It’s not very ‘wet’ like a cream product but not ‘dry’ like a powder product. It’s kind of a hybrid. When you touch it it feels dry but it’s creamy like a cream shadow. It’s not squishy either. It’s an interesting product and besides as a shadow I’ve used it as an eyeliner (waterline) as well.
