Multi-Colored Illuminating Powder, Shimmering Suede Shadow, and Blushing Bronze Duo (No flash vs flash in natural light)

Multi-Colored Illuminating Powder:

This powder was nice and soft. The shade described as “cool quarts glow” is accurate. It’s a cool toned highlight. It’s fairly pigmented too! In the swatch it seems like it might be a blush but when blended onto the tops of the cheeks it’s not. I’m very fair and I didn’t have a pink streak. I really like this powder. I don’t have any super cool highlights so this is refreshing. It reminds me of a more pigmented MAC Lightscapade, they both have that white shine. This lasted 12 hours with minimal fading!

Shimmering Suede Shadow:

These shades were hit and miss. The white cool pink and taupe-y purple are very nice. They are very shimmery and have good pigmentation. The darkest shade was a miss for me. It blended patchy and has a shimmer in it even though it looks like a satin. When combined all three are too shimmery for a look in my opinion. The palest shade is a beautiful cheek highlight though! It does have a fine micro glitter in it. The glitter didn’t stick though. These shadows didn’t last long over my holy grail eye primer.

Blushing Bronze Duo:

This was quite surprising. When I opened it I thought I wouldn’t like it. I don’t like a super shimmery bronzer. When applied it wasn’t that shimmery, it gave a natural glow to the skin. The blush was very pigmented too. I was impressed, they are almost like a creamy powder. The blush is matte which is great. I know in the drugstore it’s hard to find a good matte blush. The blush had some fading after 12 hours, the bronzer had faded more leaving behind the glow without color. The bronzer mostly faded on my forehead/temples but didn’t fade as much on my cheeks.
  • Would you re-buy this product? Yes and No.
  • How many stars? Illuminator: 4 out of 5 Trio: 1.5 out of 5 Duo: 3 out of 5
  • Overall thoughts? The highlighter is great. If you have hard Candy Tiki and this you would have a nice warm and cool drugstore highlighter! This was my favorite product because finding a decent highlighter in the drugstore is hard. I think they should make more shades.
The trio wasn’t the best. The deepest shade was very patchy. The other two were ok but I couldn’t get them to build up when wet. I think the trio is a good idea. But I wish it had a true matte, too many shimmers can look muddy. The taupe-y shade is a great MAC Satin Taupe dupe.
The duo was good. I like that it had a good matte blush and the bronzer wasn’t overly shimmer. I will probably wear this a lot in the summer. I don’t own any shimmer bronzers and I don’t think I would spend a lot of money on one. I wouldn’t wear it a lot but this is a good compromise. The brush is a brighter shade which I liked. I don’t own a lot of bright blushes I tend to like muted pinks/corals. So overall I thought this was nice to get 2 products I wouldn’t normally buy in one package. The formula was great on both too!
  • Price? $10-12 (Khol’s and Jane’s website)
  • Last Comments? All the powders have that kick up I hate but most shades blended well. The packaging for the illuminator is really good. The trio/duo have cardboard packaging. It isn’t the best or worst. The duo’s cap won’t stay on though. It’s been “stretched” out, when I received the product the lid had fallen off. They sell single blushes and bronzers (both matte) are in the same packaging as the illuminator. I really want to try them, I’ve heard good things about the bronzer; it comes in 4 shades from extra light to deep!
Have you tried these Jane products? Thoughts?
These products were sent to me for review. My opinions/thoughts are completely honest! ♡
