- Bittersweet: A bite-of-a-peach pink. (Semi-matte)
- Datura: An innocent, blushing pink. (Semi-matte)
These are very nice. Datura is a better formula then Bittersweet. I noticed Bittersweet had different packaging then Datura so maybe it’s an old formula/product? Both looked bright in the tube but after applying the product the shade in the tube changed slightly deeper (like the swatch photo). Datura went on smooth while Bittersweet dragged, felt drier in formula, and went on a tad patchy. Just a couple more passes on the lips to get a even color. I had no problem with Datura. Color wise Bittersweet is more orange in person than peachy pink and I agree that Datura is a blush pink. On their site the color swatch is accurate to the shade. You can tell the difference in formula even from the swatch photo, Bittersweet looks waxier.
These don’t claim to be long lasting and I found they lasted about 4 hours before the color had faded quite a bit. Even with the color fading I could still feel the waxy balm on my lips (the forbidden lipsticks are more balm-y / review will be linked when posted). I wouldn’t say these are moisturizing like they claim but they do have good ingredients (ex: jojoba oil). I find a majority of tinted lip products that claim to be moisturizing actually mean the product won’t dry out your lips. These really do remind me of a chapstick with better ingredients that have good color pay off! (Great for all the lip balm lovers out there who want some color)
Both give a juicy sheer look and remind me of summer fruit! I’ve worn Datura everyday since getting these in the mail. It’s just a gorgeous plush lip color. I’m going to love this shade for spring and Bittersweet in the summer!
