Review:

The mascara is pretty good! It’s very black and I haven’t experienced any flaking. The brush remind me of the Too Faced Better Than Sex. I personally find the brush to be a tad too big. The actual formula is lightweight. One or two coats and your lashes are very full. The finish is a soft matte, no sheen. My biggest (and only) complaint is that while it doesn’t flake when I rub near my eye, mascara is there. When I rubbed my inner corner I had mascara on my finger. That being said it doesn’t actually flake and smudge down my face. I think in the summer it could though. In the winter / fall it’s fine though.
  • Would you re-buy this product? No.
  • How many stars? 3 out of 5
  • Who would I recommend this for? Anyone looking for volumizing mascara.
  • Last Comments? This mascara isn’t awful but not my favorite either. Overall I tend not to love super volumizing mascaras. If you do I think this might be a lovely option. Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir is even more volumizing than Too Faced BTS, for those who love that mascara! I also love the story behind the mascara “Velvet Noir is inspired by Marc Jacobs’s first beauty memory of his mother carefully shaving fibers from a velvet ribbon to create her own couture faux lashes.”
Have you tried anything from Marc Jacobs? Thoughts?
