So I thought this would be a great comparative review! I have two colors that are kinda alike Maybelline Barely Branded (limited edition but I still see it everywhere) and MAC Bare Study. Maybelline Bare Branded is a warm creamy beige and MAC Bare Study is soft beige with gold pearl. (see swatches below) So first I'll talk about the consistency... the MAC one is really thin and blends really well. The Maybelline one is fairly thin just a tad thicker than the MAC one; it also blends easily but I do find I need a tad more cause they dry fast. The wear time for both is great! Both will last all day and keep your shadows vibrant. Since I have hooded eyes they both do crease on me but it's very rare that a primer doesn't crease on me. But regardless they both are great bases. The MAC one will crease a little but then it doesn't really crease anymore. The Maybelline one takes a little longer to crease but it will crease more but I think thats just because its a thicker consistency. I think that both are great and would recommend both! I do wear my MAC one more on nights out and the Maybelline one for errands/hanging with friends. MAC has a few permanent shades (more everyday wearable) and Maybelline has a few permanent shades but they are more colorful with a few neutrals. They also have new collections all the time! I think that for everyday colors I'd buy MAC then for funky colors I'd buy the Maybelline ones, because let's be real not a lot of people need an expensive teal/bright blue primer cause most people aren't gonna wear that everyday.
